Double bottom dump trailers with aluminum hopper (also called bottom dump train trailers, belly dump trailers, clam dump trailers, hopper bottom trailer, grain trailers and hopper trailers) is designed as ultra-light weight and durable for potassium chloride (KCl) / raw salt transport. It can also be used to transport small crystalline bulk cargoes or all kinds of grains and other materials such as wheat, corn, potatoes, gluten, straw cubes, gravel and limestone. Double / train bottom dump hopper trailer set provides high-rate fuel and depreciation savings with its extra light structure and stable construction.

General technical details of double bottom dump trailers with aluminium hopper;

- Set of double bottom dump hopper semi-trailers with modular/train connection (interlink coupling connected) to each other by fifth wheel

- 26 + 26 m³ and total volume is 52 m³, ultra-light chassis, high volume and reinforced design

- Tare weight of train / double semi-trailers 12.5 tons ± 5% (varies due to optional features)

- Maximum loaded weight 72.350 kg / set (with minimum 6x4 truck / tractor / prime mover)

* The top of the semi-trailer is closed and loading operation is using by top filler caps. For this reason, it was observed that the entire volume could not be used

- Chassis and main / carrier construction is produced from “S700MC optional SS304” sheet

- Hopper (bunker) body and upper compartments / caps “aluminium alloy or optional SS304 / S700MC” sheet

* If alloy ‘aluminium alloy’ is not preferred, weight will increase by +3.2 tons ± 5%

- Hopper (bunker) body is bolt connected to metal body (modular structure & easy maintenance facility)

- 3 + 2 top filler caps with locking facility

- Right and left protection barriers on top

- Pneumatically controlled bottom discharge covers with mechanical safety locks

Axle Group:

- Each set is designed as 4 + 2 = 6 axles

- 3rd and 4th axles are self-steering (19° right - left movement) with automatic locking mechanism

- Each has 12 tons load capacity (combination load distribution is between 9.1 - 10.1 tons)

- There is a front axle lifting system that extends tire life
